Description

YORK SE6052SW BOOTHAM 1112-1/13/71 (North East side) 14/06/54 No.35 GV II House, now guest house. Mid C18 with mid C17 remains and early C19 alterations. Painted brick with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and 3 bays. The facade has 2 storey bands and a modillion eaves cornice. The windows are sashed without glazing bars. The doorway, in the left-hand bay, has a doorcase with reeded half-columns, and console brackets carrying a pediment above a fanlight. The door has 6 raised and fielded panels. Chimney near centre of ridge. INTERIOR: not inspected. Recorded by RCHM as having a C18 staircase with turned balusters, and a C17 staircase reset at the back of the house.
