Description

NORTH YORKSHIRE RYEDALE 5340 SE 65 NW HUNTINGTON CHURCH LANE (north side) 2/47 Church of All Saints II* Church. C15 chancel with nave, tower and organ chambers of 1874 by C T Newstead. Limestone ashlar, Welsh slate roof. 3-bay nave with south-west tower and north aisle, and 3-bay chancel with organ chamber to south. C19 section in geometric style. West end: 3 stepped lancets to nave. 3-stage tower with angle buttresses to right: single pointed window with hoodmould and label stops, with triplet of lancets above and pair of pointed shafted belfry openings to third stage. Foliate motif to eaves cornice, and broach spire. Other exposed faces of tower similar except for pointed doorway to south. Nave: 2-light windows with single- light windows to aisle. Chancel: plinth cut by basket-arched priest's door with cinqufoil-headed window to left. String course above supports two 2-light windows. Paired lancets to organ chamber. East end: 3-light Perpendicular window, flanked by diagonal buttresses. Interior: re-set C12 south door with shafts with waterleaf capitals. C12 round pier to 2-bay arcade of organ chamber.
