Description
WHELDRAKE MAIN STREET SE 6844-6944 (south side) 14/134 No 56 and No 58 (Costcutter Stores) 23.8.78 (formerly listed under Co-operative shop and No 56) GV II House, and shop. Late C18 with C20 alterations and rebuilding. Reddish- pink brick with pantile roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys, 5 first floor windows. Off-centre entrances a C20 plank and C20 glazed door with overlights under cambered heads. Glazed 8-pane shop fronts to Co-op, otherwise 12-pane sashes with ashlar sills, those to ground floor under cambered heads. Dentil eaves band. End and rear stacks. Included for group value.
