Description

YORK SE5951SW MOUNT PARADE 1112-1/19/755 (North East side) 19/08/71 No.10 (Formerly Listed as: MOUNT PARADE Nos.1-4 AND 5-18 (Consecutive)) GV II House. 1829-30. Brick with painted stone or stucco dressings. Hipped slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys above cellars. 2 bays. The windows have rusticated lintels with keystones and segmental soffits. They are sashed, except for the cellar window which has glazing bars. The 1st floor windows have a sill band. A glass lean-to covers the cellar doorway at the left. To the right of the ground-floor window there is a doorcase with engaged fluted columns, triglyph frieze, and mutuled cornice. The door has 2 panels of leaded glazing above 2 raised and fielded panels. The overlight has leaded glazing which appears to date from c1900. The gutter is carried on paired rectangular brackets.
