6 Boreholes were observed. They revealed well preserved, undisturbed and waterlogged medieval deposits on the site measuring between 3 and 6 metres in thickness. These are sealed beneath 3 and 4 metres of early modern deposits. There is no evidence from within the site, or from others in the immediate vicinity, that the early modern dumped deposits are of any archaeological importance. NMR information: Monitoring of a borehole survey identified significant organic deposits of medieval date, and recommended furtherinvestigation.Gazetteer of Arch.
