Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out in advance of a planned redevelopment on the site of the former Clifton Hospital. No significant archaeological remains were observed, however adjacent to the A19 a former civil air-raid shelter dating the second world war was uncovered complete with several areas of interesting graffiti dating to this period in time, all of which were recorded.
