Description

Three trenches were excavated to determine the extent of any archaeological remains which might affect development. The trenches were situated on the north side of the Minster Library in the Deanery Garden. Two of the trenches were excavated in the lawned area of the Deanery Garden to a depth of 1.5m. They contained only evidence of post-medieval dump deposits. The third trench contained evidence of late medieval/early post-medieval structures and associated deposits.
