Description

Watching Brief at Tregelles Junior School in advance of new building. Test pits dug for new foundations revealed two pits which included Roman pottery overlain by modern material. Natural was encountered at depths between c.0.65m - 1.7m bgl. AY06/01 Archaeology in the Environs of Roman York: Excavations 1976-2005
