Description

A. B Sumpter observed the digging of foundation trenches 0.55-0.7m deep for the new public toilet block in the SW corner of museum gardens. The foundations of a wall formed of roughly dressed limestone blocks, thought to be medieval in date, was recorded. No function could be attributed. NMR Information: Museum accession code: 1976.1010.
