Description

Eight boreholes sunk in advance of flood defence scheme construction. Three within the former swimming pool areas and were ceased at the pool base (1.75m). The remaining boreholes located possible archaeological layers to a depth of c.3.25m with no dating evidence. TRENCH NOT EXCAVATED TO NATURAL, THICKNESS OF DEPOSIT UNKNOWN NMR Information: Museum accession code: 1984.1011
