Description

EXCAVATION The excavation revealed the base of a ditch cutting cultivated soil of early 2nd century date. The upper part of the ditch had been destroyed by agricultural activity lasting from 11th - 19th century. No Anglian material was found despite the proximity of the Anglian settlement found at Fishergate 150m away.
