Description

Yorkshire Museum accession code: 1999.946. A programme of archaeological salvage works was undertaken in the basement of Littlewoods department store, entailing the recording of three side sections of a lift shaft which had been excavated without archaeological monitoring. Significant waterlogged deposits, including Saxon wattle walls were recorded but had been damaged in the unsupervised works.NMR Microfilm Index PRN: 7773.
