Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out 36 Moss Street, to fulfil a condition attached to planning application (12/03186/FUL) for the construction of a single story rear extension.
Hand excavation of the foundations was monitored on 16th January 2013. A probable
19th Century mortar surface and thick deposits of 18th & 19th Century garden soil were
recorded across the foundation trenches. No pre-modern finds were recovered during
the archaeological work.
