Description
An Archaeological Watching Brief was undertaken by MAP Archaeological Consultancy Ltd, at the request of Neiman Architects acting on behalf of Tim Coleman, on land in the garden of Hillcroft, Garrow Hill, York. Work was conducted between June 2007 and May 2008.
The Archaeological Scheme of Investigation allowed for the archaeological excavation of the footprint of the new build down to the formation level of the foundations and all new service connections. The initial topsoil strip was to be undertaken under archaeological supervision to the top of archaeological
deposits or the natural subsoil.
