Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out at The Lodge, Museum Street, York. The site lies close to the historic core of the town, on the line of the city wall between St Leonard's Hospital and Lendal Tower that defended the medieval waterfront. The watching brief involved monitoring the excavation of cable trenches for a lighting scheme to illuminate The Lodge.
