Description

Roman riverside. Organic sandy alluvium/dumps, followed by robbed wall and stone structure (revetment?) and stone blocks (late 2nd century?). Alluvium suggests flooding, but followed by more stone blocks, dumps etc (mid 3rd-4th century) before further river silts.
