Installation of bollards to protect columns (final stage of contract, details to be agreed with Highways); insertion of internal support system to hold timber-frame in place should one or both columns fail including restoration of upgraded balustrade at roof level; repair or replace timbers where necessary once render and lead removed, subject to agreement on-site with English Heritage; repair lead roof flashings and valleys where required; installation of thermal insulation to the structure; record and replace cornice and entablature in hardwood re-render the timber framed extension (as per render spec at Holgate Windmill); install timber platform at roof level to allow access for general public (access and safety measure) and protect roof (slip-proof decking material); replace capital and uppermost drum on two supporting columns in matching limestone; install handrail around Barbican walkway (access and safety measure); renew downpipes; repair windows/ install secondary glazing; Repaint render and timberwork; Conservation work to timber gates; Repaint and reguild heraldry and inscriptions.
