Description
WATCHING BRIEF
A machined section through the Roman road was recorded. Limestone blocks were interpreted as a stone-line drain. This road had been recorded in the 1989-90 excavation (Wellington Row). Floor deposits and pit cuts are thought to be associated with timber structures on the north-west side of the road.
