Description
A watching brief was carried out. Report not accessed.
York Archaeology digital archive records the following information:
A cobble surface, waterlogged medieval build-up, and building timbers were recorded in contractor's excavations. Exposed organic silts containing wooden piles, a number of planks and other structural timbers. Part of the corner of a timber-framed building was recorded at a depth of 1m beneath the surface. Associated pottery suggests an earlier 13th century date for this building.

Parent record for deposit model information (1989.19) - have made an assumption that this NMR record is related to those deposit model points - may need clarifying!
No further information.
A further NMR entry 659358 seems to relate to this watchine brief too.
