Description
This watching brief observed a ground strip for two new dwellings. Apart from modern features, drain trenches, and deposits nothing was noted that appeared to be of any archaeological significance, although a single sherd of 11th / 12th century gritty ware was recovered from the topsoil strip. It would appear that the site has seen little activity in the past with the possible exception of agricultural activity.
