Description

Information from NMR. Location uncertain (NMR grid point is incorrect). Monitoring of groundworks recorded no archaeological features or finds. It seems that, from this limited excavation, that if any archaeological deposits do remain, they will be found at least 0.40m below the current ground surface. The excavation process across the site revealed that there is an amount of modern demolition across the area. This is reflected in the lack of finds and archaeological features, any which may have remained seem to have been covered by the landscaping along the turfed section of the trench and possibly removed during the leveling process undertaken during the laying of the car-park.
