Description

Brick foundation/walls were encountered within the foundation trenches, of the first extension, along with a brick floor of a basement/cellar, corresponding with those associated with that former chapel. Archaeological finds included 19th/20th century pottery, clay tobacco pipe stems, a glass jar, burners for oil/paraffin lamps and a shards from a possible lamp shade, also fragments of painted plaster, which may be associated with the Wesleyan Chapel or the house that formerly stood on this site.
