Description
A watching brief was carried out on work undertaken during the redevelopment of a plot of land. This work followed on from two evaluation excavations undertaken on part of the site during May 1992.
The excavations observed did not go beyond the depth of this overburden. It would now seem that, with the added stone layer and the overburden of soil, a measure of protection has been placed over any archaeological layers which still survive across the site.
