Description
Watching briefs during 1995 along Church St during sewer refurbishment. The work undertaken consisted of dropping onto the sewer to undertake repairs. All the deposits removed from the top 2m of excavations consisted of modern backfill/dump material. The majority of the work was undertaken during time when no archaeological cover could be undertaken.

Nothing of archaeological significance was revealed during the watching brief despite the supposeed presence of a Roman road.
