Description
The natural deposits comprise a combination of postglacial alluvium, and glaciolacustrine clays and tills deposited by processes associated with the Vale of York glacier during the Last Glacial Maximum. None of the deposits observed during fieldwork have environmental archaeological potential. No evidence was identified for organic-rich sediments and no cultural archaeological remains were recorded interbedded within the sedimentary sequence.
