Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by On-Site Archaeology Ltd during the
construction of a greenhouse and potting shed at Hall Garth, Acaster Malbis.
The main archaeological interest in the site is the potential to produce archaeological
deposits, in particular deposits relating to the late medieval and post-medieval development
of the site.
No deposits or artefacts of archaeological interest were impacted on by the development, and
the only feature revealed by the groundworks was a possible early modern cobbled yard
surface that survived in patches just above the undisturbed natural ground.
