Description
Archaeological monitoring took place during the mitigation excavation of Japanese Knotweed. The objective was to assess if any formal archaeological monitoring and/or recording was required as part of the Rapid Assessment Triage (TA) process on the York Central site.
Monitoring was completed by the Lead Consultant Archaeologist (LCA) for Tetra Tech. The identified deposits encountered were 20th century disturbance and dumping which will relate to when the area was raised for the construction of Garnet Terrace to the east.
