Description
Watching brief during groundworks for construction of new building. The made ground deposit was likely laid prior to the construction of the 20th century dental practice building. The ashy material exposed in the deeper area may represent activity associated with the railway complex to the immediate north-west of the site.
No deposits pre-dating the 19th/20th century were observed during the watching brief, although this does not preclude the possibility of earlier material being present at greater depth.
