Description
Between the 1st June 2021 and 4th June 2021 and from 23rd August 2021 to the 27th August 2021 York Archaeological Trust conducted an archaeological watching brief at Castle Mills Car Park, Piccadilly, and Raindale Mill, Tower Street, Fishergate. The work was undertaken for City of York Council to inform a planning application that was under consideration by the City of York Council (19/02415/FULM). The work was based on the previous borehole evaluation report produced by YAT report 2018/56. The watching brief monitored seven test pits and seven boreholes.
