Description
A watching brief on ground works for the replacement of an electrical link box was undertaken by York Archaeological Trust on behalf of Northern Powergrid on August 13th 2020 at Priory Street. No in-situ archaeological remains were observed during the works, although the presence of residual Roman and medieval ceramics may suggest that archaeology of this date survives at greater depth.
