Description
Watching brief on five cable percussion boreholes and 11 windowless sample boreholes. Possible archaeological deposits were encountered within the central part of the site. In the north-eastern part of the site that was previously occupied by the gas works, contaminated deposits were encountered. The south-western part of the site appears to have been built-up, particularly in the raised area of the car park. No indication of the Jewish cemetery was encountered during the works.
