Description
The objective of the watching brief was to record any archaeological deposits or structures exposed by the ground works for the construction of a wall with two gate piers done on behalf of Blinch (UK) Ltd. During the works, organic in situ archaeological deposits and were observed which were possibly part of the same feature, either a dump or levelling layer, or possibly the fill of an unseen cut. Other notable contexts observed during the works were the cobbled surface and wall foundations and with their associated construction cuts
