Description

Trench dug to accommodate gas pipe connection 0.45m wide, 54.5m length and to depth of 0.65m. A grey loam levelling deposit, probably dating to the 19th century was seen. It has been shown from previous investigations that is overlays more rubble and soils placed over the ruins of the abbey.
