The objective of the watching brief was to record any archaeological deposits or structures exposed by the groundworks. All deposits encountered appeared to be of a modern date, due to the location of the groundworks in an area previously excavated for the installation of services. Although there was high potential in the area for encountering archaeological deposits of importance, the limited depths reached during the works within ground that had previously been disturbed by modern services precluded any further information being added to the current understanding of the archaeology of The Crescent or the immediate area.
