Archaeological evaluation and earthwork survey was carried out by MAP Archaeological Practice Ltd. Four trial trenches were excavated, within each a natural moraine clay sand deposit was identified below the topsoil. With only furrows noted within the trenches, no archaeological features or finds were identified. The earthwork survey to the north of trenches confirmed the presence of broad ridge and furrow, which were surveyed in order to create a lasting record prior to levelling.
