Full Description
Two houses with shops; shops now combined. 1810-1820 with C20 shopfront; exterior renovated 1992. Orange-grey brick in Flemish bond, with window arches of orange gauged brick; No.5 completely painted. Timber mutule eaves cornice to slate roof with brick stacks. EXTERIOR: 4-storey front with irregular fenestration. Each house has two 12-pane sashes on first floor, with additional tall 8-pane sash to No.5; on second floor, both have one unequal 9-pane sash, with one blocked window to No.3 and one unequal 6-pane sash to No.5; on third floor, each has one squat 6-pane sash, one blocked window to No.3, and one 4-pane sash to No.5. All windows have flat arches of brick, and all on second and third floors have sills. Two painted cast-iron cats are fixed to the fronts, one on the sill of the blocked second floor window to No.3, the other to the wall between second floor windows to No.5. INTERIOR: not inspected.
