Full Description

House, now office. c1845-50 with late C19 alterations. Brick with painted stone or stucco dressings, with addition in red brick with stone lintels. Concrete tile roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys above a cellar. 2 bays. The 1st and 2nd floor windows are sashed with sill bands and painted rusticated lintels. At the left at ground-floor and cellar level there is a late C19 straight-sided bay window with a slate roof. It has narrow sashes without glazing bars in the side walls and 2 similar wider windows facing forwards at both cellar and ground-floor level. The doorway, at the right, has a pilaster doorcase with a plain cornice and panelled reveals. The door has 6 panels and the overlight is divided into 6 panes. The gutter is carried on rectangular timber brackets. Shared chimneys to right and in front of ridge to left. INTERIOR: not inspected. Included for group value as an integral part of Holgate Street.
