Full Description

Four houses forming part of terrace, now houses and guesthouses. 1846-51. Brick with some painted stone dressings. Slate roofs. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys above cellars, with attic window to No.116. Each house of 2 bays, with a canted bay window at the left on the ground floor with a painted base containing a cellar window. The bay windows are sashed, those to Nos 116 and 118 without glazing bars. The 1st and 2nd floor windows have upper sliding sashes which are smaller than the lower ones. The 1st floor windows have a sill band. No.116 has a C20 flat-roofed dormer. The doorcases, at the right, have pilasters with sunken panels, panelled reveals, and overlights with single vertical divisions. The doors each have 2 tall round-headed panels. Chimneys, with truncated caps, in front of ridge between Nos 112 and 114 and between Nos 116 and 118. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: City of York: London: 1972-: 126).
