Full Description

House. c1845-50. Brick with some painted stone or stucco dressings. Slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic. One bay. The windows are glazing bar sashes with painted rusticated lintels. A small attic dormer has a pitched roof with bargeboards. To the right there is a pilaster doorcase with a C20 door. Shared chimney at left in front of ridge. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: in front of the house there is a low brick wall with a stone coping supporting iron railings. To the right there is a gate which has iron gateposts with ball finials. At the left the wall and railings return to enclose 2 sides of the front garden and abut the front wall of the house. Included for group value as an integral part of Holgate Road.
