Full Description

House. c1840. Yellow brick with hipped slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 3 bays. Corner bricks project in a quoin-like pattern. The windows are sashed without glazing bars. On the 1st floor they have slightly cambered brick arches. On the ground floor there are timber canted bay windows on brick and stone bases, with dentilled cornices. The door has 2 panels below a large pane of etched glass, and a plain rectangular overlight. A timber door hood is carried on brackets and has a dentilled cornice similar to those of the bay windows. Chimneys at left, and towards rear at right. INTERIOR: not inspected. RCHM records staircase with 2 turned balusters per tread and mahogany handrail.
