Full Description

Two houses, now hotel. Mid C19. Brick with some stone dressings. Slate roof, hipped at right. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. South facade 4 bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with slightly cambered brick arches. The door, in the 3rd bay, has a red brick surround with 2 concentric round arches with keystones and impost blocks, and a corbelled brick course below a straight cornice. The overlight is plain and semicircular, and the door has 6 raised and fielded panels. Modillioned eaves. Chimney at left. The right-hand return wall, facing east, has a glazing bar sash window on the 1st floor. On the ground floor there is a wide C20 straight-sided bay window with a brick base and lead roof. Set back to the right, adjoining Nos 200 and 202 (qv) there are 2 lower 2-storey bays which have glazing bar sash windows, and a flat-roofed dormer. INTERIOR: not inspected.
