Full Description

House with shop. 1836-39, with C20 shopfront. Painted brick in English garden wall bond, with timber frieze and cornice; slate roof with one roof light and brick stack. EXTERIOR: 3-storey, 2-window front. Shopfront framed in fluted pilasters, with deep fascia, minimal dentilled cornice and central glass door. First and second floor windows are 4-pane sashes with narrow painted sills and cambered brick arches: windows to right wider than those to left. Plain eaves frieze, and moulded cornice on paired modillions, with moulded bowl rainwater head at right end. INTERIOR: not inspected. (City of York: RCHME: The Central Area: HMSO: 1981-: 117).
