Full Description

House with shop. Mid C18, refronted 1836-39; shopfront c1960. Orange brown brick in stretcher bond, refronted in pink-grey brick in Flemish bond; pantile roof with brick stack. EXTERIOR: 3-storey, 1-window front. Shopfront has glazed door to right of window. First floor window is 12-pane sash with slender glazing bars; on second floor, two 12-pane sashes with heavy glazing bars, probably re-used; all windows have painted stone sills and cambered brick arches. Circular tie rod plates on first and second floors. INTERIOR: not inspected. (City of York: RCHME: The Central Area: HMSO: 1981-: 117).
