Full Description
House, now part of hotel. c1800, with later alteration. For John Tuke. Pink-blue brick in Flemish bond, with painted stone doorcase; timber eaves band with cornice on shaped console brackets, and stone copings to slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3-storey 2-window front. Plain pilaster and cornice doorcase to right of centre, with early C18 3-panel door. Windows are sashes, 12-paned to right of ground and first floors, 16-paned to left; on second floor, squat and 9-paned. All have painted stone sills and flat arches of gauged brick.
