Full Description

2 houses. c1860. Brick with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Each house 2 bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches which have slightly cambered soffits. No.7 has its doorway to the right of the left-hand bay, and No.9 has its doorway in the 3rd bay. Both have plain pilaster doorcases with cornices, and doors with 2 recessed panels above 2 flush panels. The overlights have margin panes. Below the 1st and 2nd bays there are blocked cellar openings. The timber gutter is carried on paired rectangular brackets. Ridge chimneys on gables and to right of No.7. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: in front of No.9, and attached to the house at the left-hand end, is a low brick wall. Set into the stone coping are iron railings with cast-iron spikes. Near the centre there is an iron gate.
