Full Description
A Medieval field system of ridge and furrow in the parish of strensall, seen as earthworks and soilmarks/cropmarks on air photographs (SE 622617, SE 627610, SE 630604, SE 641609, SE 640617. Most of the ridge and furrow appears levelled on later photographs but some survived as earthworks on photographs taken in 1987.
