Full Description

Over forty post medieval stack stands were seen as earthworks on air photographs. The features are roughly circular raised platforms, 3-4 metres in diameter, surrounded by a ditch. They cover an area about 1 kilometre by 0.5 kilometres in the centre of Strensall Common.
