Summary
A system of Medieval ridge and furrow cultivation was seen as cropmarks and earthworks on air photographs. The
plough-levelled remains are spread throughout the parish but the few blocks of extant ridge and furrow are clustered
around the modern village of Stockton-on-the Forest.
