Summary

A field system of medieval ridge and furrow in the parish of Copmanthorpe visible as cropmarks and earthworks on air photographs. Much of the ridge and furrow has been built over as the village of Copmanthorpe has expanded. Pockets of the field system appeared to still be upstanding on late 1970s photography.

Full Description

A field system of medieval ridge and furrow was seen as cropmarks and earthworks on air photographs in the parish of Copmanthorpe. Much of the ridge and furrow has been built over as the village of Copmanthorpe has expanded. Pockets of the field system appeared to still be upstanding on late 1970s photography.
