Monument record MYO3528 - Field System Naburn

Summary

Mainly rectilinear ditched enclosures, which are probably part of an Iron Age/Roman field system, are visible as cropmarks on air photographs. Some of the ditches overlap, uggesting there is more than one phase. Some are also in the same alignment as those which lie to the east (recorded in SE 64 NW 27), but the relationship between the two sites is uncertain.

NMR Information:

Mainly rectilinear ditched enclosures, which are probably part of an Iron Age/Roman field system, are visible as cropmarks on air photographs, centred at SE 6024 4611. Some of the ditches overlap, suggesting there is more than one phase. Some are also in the same alignment as those which lie to the east (recorded in SE 64 NW 27), but the relationship between the two sites is uncertain. (1)
